Winemaker Notes :
Vista Luna is one of the premiere vineyards in California to work with; from the growing conditions,
rolling hills, gorgeous volcanic soils, and the grower himself (Markus Bokisch).
This is the quintessential “Rib Eye Steak Wine.” Inky black, purple, and crimson colors fill the glass. Robust aromatics of roasted meats, grilled portobello mushroom, currants and raspberry,
this wine just explodes from the glass. On the palate the wine is most definitely full bodied,
but with extended bottle aging before release we’ve hit a point where the dry astringency that
Petite Sirah can be known for is mitigated, there’s a bright acid finish after gorgeously layered tannins on the front and mid. Serve this with slow cooked meats like short rib or lamb shank and know that everything is right in the world.
